My recommendations about university selection in Finland

NB: The following recommendation are based on my personal experience and therefore not binding on anybody but just a way of creating awareness to people about studying in Finland and sustenance as foreign students.

The following universities are my recommendation based on proximity to Helsinki, capital city. Therefore, the possibility of getting student job is imminent unlike the Northern Finland, where jobs for foreign students are scarce and limited because of the language barrier i.e. language of communication is Finnish. Meanwhile, if you can learn finnish quickly, you are assured of job.

The Multi-faculty Universities and Universities of Technology are mainly for postgraduate studies in English. The application is jointly on University Admission or directly to the universities.

Meanwhile, the Universities of Applied Sciences are primarily for undergraduate studies in English. The application is jointly on OnlineApplication2PolytechnicsinFinland. Although, they offer some postgraduate studies in English, the application details can be found on the schools websites.

Please explore the websites to the fullest for other vital information of importance. Watch out for institutions in Helsinki, Turku, and Lahti.
